How long have you been in business?
Orbit Gallery has been in business over 10 years. We opened right after Sept 11th when everyone told us not to! It was a very scary time but we went ahead due to the lease protocol and opened that December to great reviews, excited patrons and our own delight.
What is your primary product or service?
Our main service is the promotion and selling of artwork by emerging artists and artists that are already at mid point. This exciting new group of artists have proven to be in demand and growing faster than any art movement before it. We introduce a terrific mix of illustrators, graffiti artists, animation and tattoo artists in a very harmonious place. We service both Corporate and Private clients. We also work with the Masters of Pop Art incuding and not limited to Original paintings and limited editions by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Mel Ramos, Roy Lichtenstein and Jeff Koons.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Started in the art business in the late 80s by way of the underground art/fashion/celebrity club scene. During the 90s worked in very high profile art galleries on West Broadway in soHo, NYC. Opened Orbit Gallery in Edgewater NJ in 2001. We curently have 3 galleries in New York City and New jersey. Its a terrific place to visit and see what the new breed of artists have been doing. This is NOW and worth your time.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have always been "Collection Minded". By that we mean, we look at every client as someone who will turn into a repeat client and allow us the priviledge to assist them make the best choices for a well rounded, perfect art collection that is fun and long lasting, powerful and ultimately quite valuable. We inspire the ultimate in customer loyalty with our dedication to consultation in information. We also have resold many works for clients who made earlier purchases before defining what they liked best. No other gallery can say that! We take our clients to new levels of art enjoyment by making their buying experience interactive, fun, and enjoyable. We always look forward to seeing our clients learn new aspects about collecting and art. Its a strange subject and can be intimidating...but we make it fun and easy.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have 3 locations in the USA. We are planning on another opening in the New York City area as well as a European franchise Gallery and one in Las Vegas all in due time. We have learned the timing MUST be right for successful additions.

The New York City gallery is the newest Orbit Gallery and is accessible by C, E train to 18th street station on 8th Avenue, then walk two blocks up and 2 avenues up. We are located at what was formerlly known as the Limelight Nightclub at 20th street and 6th Avenue. When you come here...you will be struck by the beautiful stained glass still here from the late 1800s when Limelight was a church.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept payments by check, cash, VISA and MasterCard as well as PayPal for an added 3% charge. 3% fee is for paypal paymnets only - due to the surcharge they charge us. paymnet plans are also an option with us. We want uou to be able to get the artwork you want most.
Which areas do you service?
We Ship WORLDWIDE and do so weekly. USA shipping can range from $15. to $200 depending on size and weight. International shipping begins usually at $35 and can go to $500 dependant on size and weight and country.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Orbit Gallery is now a corporation and different areas of operation are headed by specialized personell.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday thru saturday 10am - 9pm Sundays 11am - 8pm Also by appointment. We suggest appointmnet if you would like to see the artwork of a specific artist so we have all the selections here for you upon your visit. We look froward to seeing you and hearing from you soon!
